Together

We will reaffirm the evangelical identity and mission that define the WEA, and we will set forth a roadmap that will guide us into the next decade of global ministry.

This General Assembly is a unique opportunity to connect with evangelical family from across regions, generations, and global networks. It is an invitation to all of us to visit afresh the command of Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20.

18Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

Our time together will provide space for worship, prayer, strategic discussions, and collaboration, empowering us to proclaim the Gospel worldwide as we focus on the following:

Hear the word of the Lord together and pray together for God’s leading, wisdom and enablement.

Share testimonies and stories from around the globe for inspiration, prayer and collaboration.

Provide opportunity for fellowship and networking for greater unity, collaboration and action.

Receive and review reports from WEA leadership and its structures.

Explore critical and emerging topics shaping evangelical engagement worldwide and prepare the WEA for future mission.

Acknowledge and strengthen the Evangelical churches in Korea in their prayer and pursuit of greater unity in the church and the Korean Peninsula and their missionary efforts around the world.

Elect the new International Council and affirm new leadership appointments such as the General Secretary. A search process for the new General Secretary has been initiated by the International Council through its Human Resource Committee. Please see further details here: https://secgen.worldea.org/

Consider any other changes deemed necessary for the better functioning of a WEA fit for its times. The incredible acceleration happening all over the globe demands that WEA leaders enter a careful and Spirit-led process of clarifying, casting vision and committing to a mindset shift of what evangelism and disciple-making must look like in the years ahead.

Encourage, inspire and guide united effort in accomplishing the theme of the General Assembly and the vision, mission and strategic objectives of WEA.
