Thank you for your interest in attending the WEA General Assembly in Seoul, South Korea in October 2025. We receive a high volume of requests for financial support, and while we are deeply encouraged by the level of engagement across the WEA community, this also means that available funds are limited.
As part of our effort to support as many participants as possible, we will be awarding scholarships based on the strength of each application and in accordance with established assessment criteria (such as WEA engagement, recommendation, potential for impact, and financial need).
The form below will help us to assess these requests for financial assistance, so please read it carefully and if you would like to be considered for a scholarship then please complete the form as soon as possible.
To enable more delegates to participate, we typically aim to cover the cost of the flight, and we ask that participants cover the cost of their registration fee.
Please note the following:
- If you are successful in your scholarship application then we will source the most cost-effective flight ticket for you and purchase that on your behalf.
- The cost of the registration fee ranges from $100 to $700 and is laid out on the payment page. The registration is heavily subsidised and covers the event costs including accommodation and all meals.
- If you are under 45 then the cost is limited to $100.
- If you are a member then you will be eligible for a membership discount depending on the type of membership.
We believe this shared approach will allow our scholarship budget to reach the greatest possible number of applicants, supporting our goal of broad and diverse representation at the Assembly.
